鳥取旅行 ３： 三朝温泉

Today, I introduce Misasa-Onsen and our Japanese-style hotel.
今日は、宿泊した三朝温泉と旅館を紹介します。
About Misasa-Onsen
Misasa-Onsen is along a river flowing from a back valley of Kurayoshi city facing the Sea of Japan in Tottori.
This hot spring is the second biggest hot spring in Tottori, and the history is very old, at 850 years ago.
Famous great writers of Meiji era visited here much.
We stayed in Saiki-bekken that is a long established and Japanese-style hotel.
Photo 1: a bird like river cormorant came flying from anywhere, and stayed at the lower left of the pond in the morning.
三朝温泉について
三朝温泉は日本海側の町、鳥取県倉吉を山間に入った川沿いにあります。
この温泉の集客数は鳥取県内で二番目に多く、歴史は古く、850年もあります。
明治時代の著名な文豪が多く訪れていました。
私達は、老舗の旅館である斉木別館に泊まりました。
写真１： 朝、一羽の川鵜らしい鳥が池の左下に飛来して来ました。
竹林とサツキ、池の鯉と鳥、４棟の離れが実に趣があります。

＜ 3. Dinner ＞

We took this dinner along with seeing a bamboo grove in another room.
There were 12 kinds of dish and we added two kinds else.
The lower photo is the menu served first: hors d’oeuvres, sliced raw fishes, and small bowls.
These are variously seasoned dishes made of seaweed, soybean curd (tofu), squid and fishes.
夕食は竹やぶが見える別室で食べました。
料理の品数は１２種有り、他に２種類追加しました。
一番下の写真は、最初に出された前菜や造り、椀物です。
これらは海草や豆腐、イカや魚を様々に味付けしたものです。

A: a boiled dumpling of taro.
B: a grilled Spanish mackerel that is in season.
C: a pan cooking of wild duck.
D: tempura of Octopus and shrimp, and salt.
E: a dessert.
A ： 里芋の団子を茹でたもの。
B ： 季節の魚、鰆の焼きもの。
C ： 合鴨の鍋。
D ： 蛸と海老の天ぷらと塩。
E ： デザート。
We got satisfaction in the taste and the quantity.
If this Japanese food is compared to something, it may be Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”.
On the other hand, European food seems to be like Handel’s “Music of the Royal Palace Fireworks.
それぞれの料理は少ないのですが、味と量、共に充分満足しました。
この和食を例えるならヴィヴァルディのバイオリン協奏曲「四季」のようなものかもしれません。
それに対して欧州の料理はヘンデルの「王宮花火の音楽」のように思えます。
＜ 5. the hot spring resort area and an outdoor hot spring bath of another hotel ＞
＜ ５． 温泉街と別の旅館の温泉 ＞

We heard the great chorus of Kajika frogs when we took a walk through here in the morning.
Many fireflies will dance in the summer here.
Central photo: there was a traditional Japanese-style hotel when we took a walk along a hot spring town street.
Lower photo: This outdoor hot spring bath is thing of Misasa-Kan hotel that we used in the middle of a night walk.
We could enjoy these baths of two hotels devised respectively.

Afterword
The noon was hot, but the night walk was cold.
I have visited at this hot spring resort area more than 20 years ago, but it seems to have changed.
We enjoyed atmosphere of hot springs after a long separation.
On the next time, I introduce a mountain temple in the steep place.

朝、ここを散策するとカジカ蛙の大合唱が聞こえました。
夏は蛍が乱舞するそうです。

２館の浴槽は、それぞれ工夫されていて楽しめました。

あとがき
昼は暑かったが夜の散策は寒いぐらいでした。
この温泉街は２０年以上前に来たことがあるのですが、変わってしまったようです。
久しぶりに温泉情緒を楽しみました。
次回は、急峻な所にある三徳山三仏寺を案内します。

The foods looks too beautiful to eat 🙂 even though being a vegetarian I would not be able to taste it but just by the looks, it appears so delicious. And everything looks so very well organized, neat and clean.
Total contrast to what I see around me here in India – too much of everything (which may be perfectly wonderful in moderate quantity) – too much heat and dust in the environment, too organic (unplanned) human constructions, too much of spice, a little too overcooked food 🙂
I love it all thoroughly as much as I can appreciate the beauty that you capture with your words and photographs – just wanted to highlight the differences that we have in our world.

aquacompassさんおはようございます。私も5年ほど前に行きました。古い温泉町が好きで、市丸姉さんの「三朝音頭」のCDを差がいましたがすでに過去のものようでした。ただマンホールに歌詞はありましたが！同じ斉木別館に泊まりましたよ(^_-)-☆・・・また行きたい温泉です(^_-)-☆
なんと奇遇ですね。ちょっとトラブルがあってこの旅館に泊まることになりました。以前、会社の慰安旅行で来たことがあったのですが、いいところです。

夫が長年行きたがって今だ行けてないところです
温泉はほんとうにあちこちいってますが
なかなかここにはたどり着いてないのです
ここの旅館いいですね。
鳥取もいつのまにか高速が結構繋がってちかくなりましたね
大山は好きでよく行ったのですが、それ以外を自分の車で走ったのは始めてでした。
確かに高速網が伸びていて助かりました。
